What are the price ranges for custom bridal gowns?

The starting price for custom bridal gowns by Phylicia Ellis is $4,500.

What is the price of a bridesmaids gown? Do you also make custom bridesmaids gowns?

The starting price for bridesmaids gowns by Phylicia Ellis is $600. Should custom bridesmaid gowns be requested, starting price for custom designs is $1,000. (Note: The bridesmaids gowns in the Capsule Collections are not considered custom.)

Do you create replicas of other designer gowns?

No.

Do you create gowns for MOBs (Mothers of the Bride)?

Unfortunately, at this time, the studio cannot accommodate design requests for mothers of the bride.

How far in advance should I order my gown?

Best practices suggest that you order a custom wedding gown at least six to nine months prior to your wedding date to avoid any rush fees associated with design services.

What if my wedding is less than 6 months away?

A selection of sample gowns may be available for purchase prior to your wedding. If not, we will happily accommodate your request, but rush fees will be incurred to guarantee time for fittings and timely delivery.

Do I need to make an appointment?

An appointment is recommended to confirm the designer’s availability to facilitate your custom bridal needs. We encourage you to review all of our FAQs in advance of requesting an appointment, to ensure that a consultation is needed. All appointment requests will be reviewed and/or confirmed within 24 hours of the request received. Appointments are only considered confirmed after payment has been processed.

What does my VIP consultation include?

During your consultation, you will converse with the designer and communicate your wedding vision, so that this can be considered during the design phase. You will also confirm the designer’s availability for your wedding date. Should the designer be available on your desired date, the designer will provide a preliminary sketch of your gown (complimentary, as part of the consultation). Request your consultation here.

Can my design sketch be modified?

Each complimentary gown sketch comes with 1 revision. Any additional additional revisions required will be assessed an additional fee (per revision).

Once I've decided on my dress design, is full payment required?

No. The designer requires a 50% deposit to start the design process.

Do you make veils and/or bridal accessories?

Yes. Outside of the selection of accessories available for purchase in studio, bridal accessories can be customized upon request.

What should I bring to my fitting?

Please bring the undergarments and shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day to ensure the hemline and bodice are fitted properly.

Do you offer other services?

Other services offered include gowns for other formal events, gown steaming, and day-of wedding services. Please submit an inquiry here for more information.

Are sample gowns available for purchase?

I want to oder a bridesmaids dress your collection. How do I do that?

When ordering a bridesmaids dress, how do I know which size I should order?

When placing an order, please refer to the size chart below to match your measurements to the appropriate size. As the dresses from the collection are not customized to your measurements, it is important to select the correct size as all orders are final.

If I place an order based on my measurements, will the dress fit me perfectly?

Minimal alterations should be anticipated to achieve your desired fit.

Do you design for plus sized/full figured women?

Yes.

How many dress fittings will I need?

Two or three fittings are typically required. However, more fittings will be scheduled if necessary. Following your final fitting, we will press and prepare your gown to be taken home.

How many people can I bring to my appointment and/or fitting?

Currently, guests will not be allowed to accompany any clients to in-studio visits. Due to COVID-19, we to continually ensure the safety of our team and clients and will continue to modify our safety protocols as the situation evolves. If specific accommodations are required, please provide advanced notice and we would be happy to assist.

Do you have an appointment cancellation policy?

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please give 24 hours notice to ensure that you avoid cancellation fees. Should less than 24 hours notice be given, you will be assessed an inconvenience of $50.00.

Are deposits refundable?
